The baby is still young and has a simple diet. Why does the mouth have peculiar smell? Is it gastrointestinal digestion?
Usually, the baby’s oral odor may be caused by three conditions:
1. Oral problems
Many babies do not brush their teeth well, or parents do not brush their teeth well and sleep directly after eating. Bacteria will easily grow in the oral cavity and will release an unpleasant smell at the same time.
2. Breathing habits
Babies like to open their mouths to breathe, which often leads to accelerated saliva evaporation. Dry mouth will lead to imbalance of oral flora and halitosis.
3. Digestion
Dyspepsia, acid regurgitation and belching are also prone to peculiar smell.
In view of this problem, it is suggested to improve the daily oral hygiene habits every day, help children brush their teeth twice a day, gently brush the tongue coating of the tongue, and start flossing.
In addition, if the baby opens his mouth to breathe, he may need to go to the stomatology department and otolaryngology department for examination to see if it is what’s reason for opening his mouth to breathe.
Finally, go to the digestive department for examination to eliminate halitosis caused by digestive tract problems.
