For Asian women, the pursuit of whitening seems endless.
Everyone has more or less tried some whitening skin care products, skin care methods or beauty treatment, etc.
Some may be effective, while more may be ineffective.
Today, I will tell you about four common pits on whitening roads. These pits are not only ineffective but may even be harmful to improving skin color.
Doubts about Safety of White Needle
The main ingredients of these needles are often vitamin C, trans-sulfuric acid, glutathione, etc., and the cost is generally not high. Some people may turn white after injection, but it is not as good as the publicity.
More importantly, there is not enough research data to support the safety and long-term impact of infusion of these components into the body.
In addition, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a special warning that injection whitening products have not been approved. Whitening needles may contain unknown substances, and safety is doubtful. Irregular injection behavior may also lead to infection with infectious diseases.
Oral whitening pills and whitening liquid are not necessarily safe.
Oral whitening pills or whitening solutions often contain vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E, glutathione or other more complex substances.
These ingredients may have certain whitening effect in theory, but the biggest problem of whitening pills lies in safety.
At present, there is not enough data to support the safety of oral administration of these ingredients, how much is needed to effectively whiten the skin, and whether long-term eating will have adverse effects.
These are all places that need further research by the medical profession, instead of simply stacking theoretical whitening ingredients together to match various whitening pills.
Beware of Products with Fast and Good Whitening Effect
Regular whitening and skin care products often need to be used for 2 to 3 months to have certain effects.
However, for some products that claim to have obvious changes in skin color after 1-2 weeks of use, we should be on guard against illegal addition.
For example, mercury, the most commonly illegally added mercury element in quick-acting whitening products, has good whitening effect in a short period of time, but its toxicity is very strong. Mercury salt in illegal skin care products is very easy to be absorbed by skin into blood, causing harm to the body, such as brain or liver damage.
Washing your face with milk, rice washing water and vinegar cannot whiten your face.
Milk and rice washing water both contain certain nutrients. Washing face with them to bring nutrients to the skin has no other benefits except accelerating the reproduction of bacteria on the skin.
Vinegar, on the other hand, is a very acidic substance with great irritation. Washing your face with vinegar has the risk of burning your face and the skin barrier will be damaged accordingly.
After reading the above, you should know that the whitening methods recommended by many people are not necessarily reliable, and don’t believe what others have personally tested. You only see that they are temporarily white, but you can’t see the subsequent side effects.
Therefore, the correct whitening method should be effective on the premise of science.
