The autumn wind is blowing, and it is a good time to eat crabs once a year. At this time, crabs are the most tender, big and full of cream.
Eating crabs began more than 5,000 years ago during the Liangzhu culture. Archaeologists found a large number of crab shells in the caves of our ancestors.
In the Zhou Dynasty, people already knew how to mash crabs into crab sauce.
Probably because the crab is ugly and waving two big pliers, to this day, the crab is still facing strong pressure from public opinion:
Pregnant women cannot eat crabs;
Do not eat crabs during lactation;
Babies cannot eat crabs.
……..
Crabs who have been pregnant and given birth for two or three years have to be given to their father? The old editor was the first to refuse!
In line with the mentality of seeking truth (eating more crabs), we invited nutritionist Li Liangli to tell us whether these are true or not.
Can I eat crabs when I am pregnant? Yes!
About eating crabs during pregnancy, the most famous message is probably [eating crabs will miscarry].
The part of crabs for human consumption is nothing more than crab meat and crab cream/yellow, and the ingredients in it are protein, fat and minerals, and there is no ingredient that can cause abortion.
If crabs can really cause abortion, where will the face of abortifacients be put?……
However, eating crabs during pregnancy is not a self-released way to eat. Two points should be paid attention to:
1. Eat more crab meat and less crab cream/crab roe.
Compared with crab roe and crab cream, pregnant mothers are more recommended to eat crab meat. The fat content of crab roe and crab cream is too high, and eating too much may lead to indigestion.
2. Crabs must be cooked before eating
Raw crabs may be contaminated by Toxoplasma gondii or Listeria monocytogenes, which will cause diarrhea and increase the risk of infection.
Therefore, pregnant mothers must cook crabs thoroughly, and drunk crabs in what should endure them.
Can I eat crabs during lactation? Yes!
Breastfeeding mothers are always afraid that they will eat crabs, which will affect the milk and lead to baby allergy, eczema and diarrhea.
In fact, mothers avoid this and that at the beginning, and resolutely refuse to eat crabs and other foods. When children want to come into contact with them, they are more prone to allergy.
Unless the mother confirms that the food that the baby is allergic to is crab by recording the diet diary, it is not necessary to avoid eating blindly and eat at ease.
Crabs can provide high-quality food with protein, which is actually very suitable for nursing mothers. However, when eating, the following 2 points should be paid attention to:
1. It is more appropriate to eat crab meat directly.
Crab roe crab cream has high fat and cholesterol content, which is easy to increase the risk of milk blocking and should not be eaten excessively.
2. It is enough to eat 2 crabs a day.
About three or two crabs, eat about two a day is about the same. No food can be suppressed enough to eat hard, besides, it is still expensive crabs (there are mines in the family, when I didn’t say it).
Can the baby eat crabs? Yes!
Some mothers will worry that crabs are too [cold] and their babies will have diarrhea after eating them.
In fact, the edible parts of crabs are nothing more than protein, fat, vitamins and some minerals.
They are all normal ingredients and exist more or less in other foods. Why are crabs so cold?
Crab grievance……
Babies who add supplementary foods can actually try to add crabs. Let’s take a look at crab’s amazing nutrition:
Crab meat is rich in protein and trace elements such as calcium, phosphorus and potassium, of which the content of protein is higher than that of pork (average value);
The content of calcium in crabs exceeds that in milk.
Crab roe (crab cream) contains a large amount of vitamin A, fat and cholesterol, of which the vitamin content is 1.5 ~ 2 times that of eggs.
If the baby has diarrhea after eating crabs, these two reasons should be considered:
1. Is the baby allergic to crabs
Like other complementary foods, the addition of crabs also requires separate observation.
You can take a little crab meat to try and feed the baby for about half an hour. If the baby does not have any allergic reaction, you can eat it at ease.
2. Did you buy stale crabs
Crabs are not fresh, or dead crabs are bought, which is easy to cause diarrhea of eaters. Not only babies but also adults may suffer.
Therefore, selecting fresh crabs and cooking them thoroughly are indispensable.
How to eat crabs more gracefully?
Step 1 Try to pick a good crab
Weigh with your hand: Two crabs of the same size pick up the heavier one and the fatter one.
Look at the crab’s buttocks: that is, at the edge between the crab shell and the back cover, the bulging buttocks basically mean that this is a fat crab.
Use light: For example, use a mobile phone flash to illuminate the edge of the crab shell or the crab foot. If the light is difficult to pass through, it means that the crab meat is firmer.
2. Avoid crab’s stomach, gills, intestines and mouth when eating.
Crab stomach, crab cheeks, crab intestines and other parts have accumulated metabolic wastes of crabs, and the taste is very unfriendly, even some fishy. As for the crab mouth, hard and hard is not delicious!
Step 3 Try to eat more crab meat
Taking crab meat is a very complicated process, and everyone can do it in the way they are most accustomed to.
Of course, if you doubt your skill in taking crab meat and worry about the crab shell mixed into the crab meat, you can cut off both ends of the crab foot first and poke it gently with chopsticks, and the whole crab foot meat will come out.
Finally, knock down the key points again:
1. Both pregnant and nursing mothers can eat crabs at ease.
2. After trying to add no allergy, the baby can also eat crabs at ease.
3. Buy crabs, must buy live! Eat crabs, must be cooked!
After nagging so much, have the mothers remembered it? Hurriedly buy some hairy crabs and reward yourself for studying hard!
