There are too many benefits to leaving children barefoot. Don’t stop me.

The temperature in May, the next rain will become hotter, many adults have changed into cool summer clothes, revealing glistening arms.

In sharp contrast, many babies’ feet are still [imprisoned] in thick socks.

Cold starts from the soles of your feet!

It is easy to catch cold without socks!

Last week, my grandson slept without socks at night, and yesterday he caught a cold.

Forced by the vexation [exhortation] of the community and neighborhood aunts, many newly-established mothers can only give their children thick socks.

In contrast, the baby’s feet are more helpless, weak and pitiful:

In the weather of 27 octaves, due to the natural weakness of language expression, one can only [live] in thick socks, exuding bursts of foot sweat.

True human torture.

Barefoot, will it really make children sick?

Can’t you make your son barefoot?

In fact, barefoot not only won’t make children sick, but also has many benefits.

First, bare feet will not make children sick.

1. Children’s hands and feet are cold ≠ feel cold

The hands and feet feel cold and cold, and it is cold at first sight!

Many elderly people will judge whether their children are cold or not according to the temperature of their hands and feet.

In fact, children’s hands and feet are cold, which does not mean they are really cold.

Children’s blood circulation system is not as good as adults’ and is not yet fully developed.

The hands and feet are at the end of the blood circulation, far away from the heart, the blood circulation is relatively poor compared with adults, the skin is relatively thin, and it is normal for the hands and feet to get cold.

The real way to judge whether a child is warm or cold should be [touching his back]:

The back is warm, and the child’s somatosensory temperature is just right.

The back is sweating and the child is wearing too much.

If your back is slightly cold, you need to add clothes.

If someone else tells you that children cannot be barefoot, it is better to ask in the past:

The small hands and feet belong to the ends of the limbs. What’s small feet should be wrapped all the year round, but the small hands can be exposed all the year round?

2. The child’s illness has nothing to do with [catching cold]

Ten thousand steps back, even if the child feels cold, it has nothing to do with illness.

Neighbors’ nagging is nagging, and mothers are most worried about being said by crows: in case the child is barefoot and sick, the pot is not carried by the mother herself?

The truth is that the child’s illness is caused by the invasion of viruses and bacteria and has no direct connection with the external temperature.

For example, a cold is caused by the virus invading the child’s upper respiratory tract, causing the body’s immune response, such as fever (which facilitates the immune system to better resist the virus) and runny nose (which is actually the product of the fight between white blood cells and the virus).

For example, diarrhea is caused by children infected with enterovirus.

At the turn of spring and summer, enterovirus is active.

To prevent children’s diarrhea, it is not to give children to wear socks desperately, but to have higher requirements on the freshness of food, to help children clean their small hands well, and to carefully disinfect all tableware entering their mouths.

Second, barefoot, let the child walk more steadily

Bare feet are the child’s second pair of eyes.

Some foreign studies believe that barefoot can make children have better balance ability.

Because when barefoot, children can better feel the information from the ground, combine with the vestibular system at the inner ear, adjust their walking posture and direction, balance with gravity, and guide themselves forward.

When we put socks or shoes on the baby, it seems that the child’s second pair of eyes are blinded and the information perceived by the brain is weakened.

This is also easy to cause children to keep their heads down and pay attention to the ground when walking.

From the perspective of growth and development, we also recommend children to be barefoot.

When the child is born, the bones of the feet are soft.

The direct contact between the feet and the ground can enable the child to better control his foot strength, promote the development of the arch of the foot, and enable the baby to have better grip on the ground.

At the same time, bare feet can also stimulate the muscle development of feet and legs, which is an essential link for children to learn to walk.

Three, bare feet, stimulate children’s tactile nerve development

On one foot, there are countless nerve endings.

Stimulation from the ground not only gives feedback to children, but also stimulates the development of tactile nerves.

When nerve endings come into contact with external stimuli, they will establish a connection between the [feelings] obtained from the outside and the brain, thus better helping children to complete various walking movements.

Because of this, we not only encourage children to have bare feet, but also encourage children to experience different materials of ground with bare feet:

Wood boards, carpets, cement, lawns, sand, Shi Zhuan…

Rough, smooth, hard, soft, cold, warm… A series of tactile feelings can be obtained from different materials of ground through bare feet.

In Europe, there are many barefoot sensory parks that encourage adults and children to step on muddy paths, wade through stony rivers and stroll on brick-paved roads to experience the rich sensory experience provided by the earth.

Many kindergartens and early education classes abroad also arrange children’s barefoot activities, such as jogging and jumping circles, which is called “barefoot education”. This has even become a formal course in Japan.

Some people say that if summer does not come, don’t ask cicadas or watermelons, just ask your feet and whether you are willing to wear shoes and socks again.

The weather is getting hotter day by day. When it comes to cool weather, you have to wear sandals. Don’t stop your children from barefoot.

As long as the children themselves are willing, let them be barefoot happily in this season when the temperature is just right.

(Warm Tip: Bare feet are good, but don’t bare feet on the ground where foreign bodies such as glass fragments and nails exist and on the ground such as bathrooms.)
