What if the child gets an electric shock?
Step 1 Quickly cut off the power first
If the power supply cannot be cut off for the time being, immediately use insulated objects such as wooden sticks to separate the child from conductive objects after confirming their own safety.
Step 2: First aid
If cardiac arrest occurs, artificial respiration and chest compressions are performed (see CPR first aid method for details).
3. Contact 120
The personnel nearby quickly called 120 for help.
4. Wound treatment
If there is no cardiac arrest and there is a visible burn wound on the skin surface, simple wound treatment can be carried out:
- Timely cold compress: when the burn area is not too large, rinse with flowing water or soak the wound with clean cold water; Protect the wound surface: use clean cloth or gauze to prevent the wound from being contaminated; Then they were sent to the hospital for treatment in time.
The damage of electric current to human body includes effect, stimulation effect and chemical effect. At present, only the damage caused by thermal effect is clearly understood.
Local injuries can be manifested as burns and necrosis of skin, blood vessels and bones at the entrance and exit of current.
Systemic injuries can be manifested as arrhythmia, cardiac arrest, respiratory paralysis, coma, brain injury and other organ injuries.
