As the temperature rises, the sunny spring comes and it is a good time for children to play.
But in such fine weather, many children are troubled by [colds]: sneezing, runny nose, coughing from time to time…
It is not too serious to say that it is serious, but it is hard to cough and have a runny nose if it is okay.
I also took the medicine, but it just didn’t have any effect…
What the hell is going on?
In fact, repeated cough, sneezing, runny nose, if more than 2 weeks, also have no other symptoms, is likely to be allergic. Say it out of the mother will be startled, more than 80% of allergic rhinitis and asthma, are related to an invisible small thing in the home-dust mites!
Today we invited Teacher Feng Xueying to tell us that what is a dust mite? How is the most effective way to remove mites?
Over 60% of allergic symptoms are related to dust mites.
Epidemiological survey in China shows that up to 60% ~ 70% of allergens in allergic diseases, which account for nearly one third of the population in China, are mites.
Dust mites are a kind of mites and do not bite people. For babies who are prone to allergy and respiratory tract sensitivity, the damage is not generally serious.
Dust mites, their excreta and corpses can cause baby allergy. The most common symptoms are that the baby does not sleep well, sneezes all night, develops a large red rash on his body, and keeps crying.
What does dust mites look like when they are so powerful?
You can understand them as bugs, small enough to be invisible to human eyes, but everywhere. Carpets, sofas, bedding, pillows and other places are their favorite gathering places.
[Survey of Domestic Mites of Dust Mite Allergy Patients in Beijing] It has been reported that 282 dust mites are found in every gram of dust on pillows, which is a very large number.
It is no exaggeration to say that we live in a world surrounded by dust mites.
These methods are useless to deal with dust mites.
Seeing here, my mother can’t wait to get rid of dust mites, but don’t worry, the right method is the key to get rid of dust mites. The following methods of removing mites are all unreliable!
1. Mite removal/insecticidal spray-useless!
Dust mite spray claims to use chemical components to kill dust mites, but its effect is very limited.
The spray volatilized rapidly and disappeared before it could kill all the dust mites. The remaining mites will soon make a comeback due to their ultra-high reproduction speed, which cannot achieve the goal of complete removal.
2. Ultraviolet dust mite killing-bullshit!
Ultraviolet rays can kill bacteria, but it is impossible to remove mites.
The penetration of ultraviolet rays is extremely poor, and its power is completely lost as long as there is a blank sheet of paper.
Under the irradiation of ultraviolet rays, dust mites all drill under the quilt. Using ultraviolet rays to remove mites can only eliminate some dust mites on the surface, and a large number of dust mites still live in the depths of bedding.
3. Ultrasonic mite remover-nonsense!
Using the unique frequency of ultrasonic wave can effectively inhibit the survival and reproduction of dust mites. Is this really a good thing?
Dr. Jack Diangelis, an entomologist at Oregon State University in the United States, told consumers that there was no experiment to prove that ultrasonic waves were effective in killing dust mites, and various ultrasonic waves and deworming devices actually failed the test.
To remove mites, these three points are the most effective.
So many ways are useless, so are we really helpless with these bugs?
Although it is unrealistic to completely remove dust mites, we can destroy their living environment and reduce its damage to babies.
1. Let dust mites move away
Dust mites like cotton and linen products and places where dust accumulates best. Do a good job in cleaning these places so that they have no place to stay and move away as early as possible.
Adhere to the weekly change of bed sheets, quilt covers, pillowcases, preferably daily mite vacuum cleaner to clean the bed;
Carpets, fabric curtains and fabric sofas are also the hardest hit areas for dust mites, insisting on cleaning up the dust accumulated on them with wet rags once every half month.
The dust cover at the air outlet of the air conditioner shall be cleaned at least once a quarter;
If plush toys are not convenient to clean frequently, they should also be basked in the sun regularly.
2. Starve dust mites to death
Human sweat, dandruff and pet hair are all the keys to the survival of dust mites. If we want to starve them, we must provide them with as little food as possible.
Do a good job in personal hygiene, take a bath frequently, change close-fitting clothes frequently, and reduce the chance of dandruff remaining on bedding and pillows;
Clean up the hair falling from the floor in time so as not to become a big meal for dust mites.
Bathe your pets frequently. Their hair may be the nest of dust mites, which may contain tens of thousands of mites.
3. Let dust mites not survive
Like all creatures, dust mites have their own suitable living environment. They reproduce most rapidly in humid and dark environment. Destroying the living environment of dust mites accelerates its death rate.
Dust mites like an environment with a humidity of 60% ~ 80%. Opening windows every day for ventilation and keeping the room dry are the best weapons to prevent and eliminate mites.
In humid summer, the dehumidification function of the air conditioner can be turned on to control the indoor humidity below 60%.
In addition to humidity, temperature also has a great influence on dust mites.
Washing the clothes and sheets changed by the baby with water above 55 degrees Celsius can eliminate dust mites more thoroughly.
Drying the quilt frequently and exposing it to the sun for more than two hours can kill most dust mites in the quilt.
Don’t forget to beat the quilt that has been basked in the sun several times. Only by driving away the bodies of dust mites together can allergy caused by dust mites be completely avoided.
Having said so much, I believe mothers have learned how to deal with dust mites.
[Don’t bask in the quilt for three months, millions of mites sleep with you], every mother can’t stand the thought that her child has been tortured by dust mites.
The baby’s health cannot be separated from his mother’s protection. Taking advantage of the warm spring flowers and the just sunshine, please pull on her father and have a thorough cleaning together.
