The temperature is getting lower and lower day by day, and the wind is getting stronger and stronger. Winter is really approaching. It is time to buy a hat for the baby for the winter.
The head is the baby’s main heat dissipation part, which is more vulnerable to external temperature than other parts of the body, so keeping the head warm is also very important in winter.
However, as a necessary single hat for babies to spend the winter, how should I choose it?
We invited Feng Xueying, a doctor from the Children’s Health Department, to tell us how to choose a certain hat.
Pick a hat for your baby, and the tightness should be appropriate.
When choosing a hat for your baby, the general principle is that the material should be soft, the weight should be light, and not too tight.
Excessive, heavy and tight hats have certain influence on the blood circulation of baby scalp and cranial nerve development.
How is the tightness appropriate?
Specifically, mothers can enlarge the length of the baby’s head circumference by 1 ~ 2 cm, or choose according to the standard of [hat is 0.3 cm larger than the diameter of the head circumference].
What Hat Don’t Choose for Baby
Step 1: Hats with ropes
To be on the safe side, it is better not to wear ropes and straps on the hat chosen for the baby to prevent accidents caused by wrapping around the baby’s neck.
2. Hats decorated with metal
Don’t buy a hat with metal decoration for your baby to prevent small parts from falling off and being swallowed by your baby.
3. Hats made of chemical fiber and wool
It is not recommended to buy hats made of chemical fiber and wool for babies with skin allergy symptoms.
Those wearing hats should also pay attention to hygiene.
The baby’s metabolism is more vigorous than that of adults, with more sweat and sebum secretion, so the hat should be changed every month to keep the hat clean.
Having said so much, I believe mothers will pick hats.
When it comes to exuberant metabolism, one more reminder is needed: wearing a hat is originally to make the baby warmer, but if the temperature is high or the indoor heating is sufficient in winter, you don’t need to wear a hat for the baby, it is easy to sweat and feel uncomfortable. Babies are really not so afraid of cold ~
