I am a mother of pepper, a national nutritionist and a mother with a 2-year-old baby.
When my daughter Jiaojiao was 1.5 years old, I didn’t think about her going to kindergarten at all.
I think when the child is old enough to go to kindergarten, it is good to send it directly. At most, it will be all right when you start crying for a few days and get used to it naturally.
Until one day, my neighbor Xiaomei’s mother said to me: “Don’t think the child is still young, but I’m going to prepare for kindergarten soon. If you don’t prepare now, then you will cry!” ]
Xiaomei’s mother recalled that when Xiaomei first entered the park, she did not take part in activities in class, did not listen to the teacher’s instructions, ate too slowly, and did not want to take a nap… There was also an obvious behavioral retrogression, setting a record of wetting her pants four times a day.
It took Xiaomei 2 months to adapt to kindergarten life because she was not ready for admission.
Xiao Mei’s mother’s kindness [warning] made me realize that children’s admission to kindergarten is a step towards independence. As parents, they must help their children acquire all kinds of abilities in advance so that their babies can adapt to kindergarten life quickly and enter kindergarten smoothly.
Therefore, I began to prepare for the children’s admission.
First, cultivate self-care ability
In the past, I did the washing of Jiaojiao’s hands on my behalf, but I couldn’t go to the kindergarten to help her wash. So I set the goal of “let Jiaojiao learn to wash her hands by herself”.
I will first demonstrate how to turn on and off the faucet, and then encourage Jiaojiao to try. I will also give Jiaojiao instructions such as “rush now” and “cross fingers” to turn washing hands into a small game of “I say you do it”.
At first, Jiaojiao always did not listen to instructions and played with water by herself. After repeated guidance and deliberate practice, she was finally able to wash her hands independently.
In the same way, I have also cultivated the habit of eating seriously. In this way, I don’t have to worry about washing my hands and eating after going to kindergarten.
Second, develop regular work and rest habits
After learning to walk, Jiaojiao often does not want to sleep until nearly 9 o’clock.
In order to make Jiaojiao adapt to the kindergarten’s work and rest in advance, I will take her to take part in outdoor sports during the day to fully release her energy.
Before 8 pm, read the picture book with her to calm her down in advance.
After that, start the bedtime program, brush your teeth, wash your face, wear sleeping bags, and finally listen to bedtime stories.
Gradually, once entering the bedtime procedure, Jiaojiao has psychological preparation and goes to bed on time at more than 8 o’clock every night. The next morning is more energetic and will take a good nap at noon.
Before entering the kindergarten, cultivate children’s work and rest habits at the same time as the kindergarten. In this way, the baby will not be unwilling to take a nap in the kindergarten or will not be able to keep up with the energy during the day.
Third, create an environment for people of the same age to get along with
As an only-child generation, Jiaojiao’s growing environment lacks playmates, and the game is mainly for self-entertainment.
I am worried that Jiaojiao will not fit in with the group in kindergarten, so I try my best to create scenes where she interacts with children of the same age.
Every weekend, I will take Jiaojiao to the public welfare picture book library to listen to stories. Over time, Jiaojiao and other children become familiar with each other and slowly integrate into the same age group. This will be of great help to her later integration into the kindergarten group.
Admission to the park is the first step for children to step into society from their families, and it is also a milestone in their life towards independence. Preparing for admission is to help children move towards independence and to relax their hearts and let them grow up.
Clove Mother, in conjunction with Chang Run, a teacher with 8 years of preschool education experience, has made a systematic curriculum < < Necessary Guide for Babies to Enter Kindergarten > > based on the effective methods verified by more than 1,000 children and parents in her years of kindergarten teaching practice.
Teacher Chang Run founded his own kindergarten, He was also employed as director of the kindergarten and director of teaching.
