After giving birth to the baby, mothers wish to check the child inside and outside every day. Many mothers found that the baby’s ears had small pimples as big as soybeans and could still move. They couldn’t help getting nervous: Did the baby grow something bad in what?
In fact, these small pimples are lymph nodes, not only distributed behind the ears, but also in the neck, occipital, armpit and groin.
Lymph node enlargement usually occurs after the baby has a cold and fever, which is a normal manifestation of the baby’s resistance.
Most lymph node enlargement is benign and parents need not worry too much.
However, if the diameter of the child’s lymph nodes is greater than 1.0 cm (1.5 cm in the groin and 0.5 cm in the medial epicondyle of humerus), and there are emaciation, abnormal blood routine and long-term fever, parents should pay attention to it and take the baby to the hospital to see a doctor in time.
