Ten drops of water? Peach water? What is better for children to take a bath?

In hot summer, bathing baby has become a daily compulsory course.

Sometimes, when the child has prickly heat, eczema or flooded skin, someone will always come out and recommend many folk remedies:

Add some honeysuckle to remove prickly heat…….

Add some peach water, net red products, very useful for eczema……

Add some Huoxiang Zhengqi water to prevent prickly heat…….

All kinds of bathing [good partners] can add one kind of additives a day from Monday to Sunday without heavy samples.

Today, Clove’s mother wants to talk to everyone about what to add when bathing her.

We have invited dermatologist Yuan Chao to give us a good talk.

In fact, when bathing the baby, there is no need to put what in the bath water.

Bathing is bathing, not cooking. Why add this and that?

1. Wormwood dispels dampness? Save it!

Some people say that wormwood has the effects of warming meridians, dispelling cold and removing dampness, so some mothers think that they can wash their babies with it.

Let’s not say that moisture is unreliable. As a plant, wormwood alone boils water that has not been purified and contains impurities. The baby’s skin barrier function is not yet fully developed, and it is very uncomfortable to cause allergy if you are not careful.

When the time comes, I don’t know whether the moisture will be removed or not. At home, it is [AI Li AI Qi], coughing incessantly, and some new pimples will appear on the children’s bodies. If you have more headaches, you will have more headaches.

2. Honeysuckle bath to remove eczema? Bullshit

We have repeatedly stressed that the nursing method for mild eczema is [moisturizing] + [closing]. Can honeysuckle irritability moisturize? Not necessarily. It can be closed, really not.

At present, there is no scientific basis or clinical data to prove that honeysuckle bath can treat eczema.

If the baby suffers from eczema, which is only mild, it is the most worry-free and affordable treatment to wash and dry the baby with clear water and apply a thick layer of Vaseline on the affected part.

If the baby’s eczema is serious, it is better to see a doctor in time, and do not use some unverified methods to stimulate the damaged skin barrier of the baby.

3. Ten drops of water to remove miliaria? It’s useless!

[Shidrip] is a classic Chinese herbal medicine made by decocting camphor, dried ginger, rhubarb, etc. with ethanol. It is often used to treat discomfort symptoms caused by heatstroke. It can be seen that [Shidrip] contains camphor.

In the United States, camphor-containing drugs are only used for children over 2 years old and adults, not babies under 2 years old. Camphor is also a harmful substance prohibited by Health Canada for children.

In addition to camphor, chili and ethanol are also irritating substances and are not suitable for delicate skin of infants. Whether diluted or not, it is not recommended.

Therefore, if soaked in water, one may not be effective, the other may stimulate, and the third may also have other toxic effects. Therefore, it is absolutely unnecessary. In addition to ten drops of water, mint cream, cooling oil and essential balm also contain camphor ingredients, which are also not recommended for babies under two years old.

4. Huoxiang Zhengqi Water? Useless and poisonous

Huoxiang Zhengqi Water is a bottle of water and half a bottle of wine, and its alcohol content can reach

5. Japanese peach water? No prickly heat!

Japanese peach water is definitely not prickly heat water. Tracing the ingredients of peach water, there are indeed some moisturizing ingredients in it, and because the skin feels cool and refreshing after use, it is often recommended to use in summer.

However, skin care and moisturizing products cannot be equated with prickly heat water, so it is naturally impossible to treat prickly heat in bath water.

6. Baby Golden Water? Direct painting!

Baobao Jinshui is a magic weapon for summer [removing prickly heat, relieving itching and preventing mosquitoes]. It has two versions, one is the mosquito repellent version. If this is used for bathing, it is hard to say whether there is mosquito repellent effect. After all, the concentration is low, the dose is small, and there is certain volatility, so the effect must be very small. There is also an anti-prickly heat version, which is generally applied locally. If you take a bath, there is no clear evidence to prove that it must be effective. Therefore, it is only effective to apply directly.

Therefore, mothers do not need to do anything superfluous at all. The most important formula to prevent prickly heat is to cool down, clean and keep dry, take more baths and add less [medicine] to children!

Moreover, the baby’s skin is inherently poor in barrier, especially in hot summer, any additive is a burden on his immature skin. If it is not used well, it will not only fail to solve the problem, but also may induce allergic reactions.

One more thing needs to be added here: Even babies with eczema cannot use these baths casually! For the treatment of eczema, soaking in a bath is still not supported, and sometimes it aggravates the baby’s rash. It is suggested that you find a dermatologist as soon as possible and take medicine after a clear diagnosis.

Therefore, no matter what kind of baby, clean water is used to wash and brush, and what is not added, so that the baby is the most suitable!
